Krystal Vasquez

Krystal Vasquez is a PhD Candidate and NSF Graduate Research Fellow at the California Institute of Technology. Her current research investigates how air quality is impacted when pollution mixes with emissions from natural and urban vegetation. Beyond research, Krystal is also dedicated to promoting disability justice in STEM. She is a member of the International Association for Geoscience Diversity (IAGD), which aims to improve access, accommodations, and inclusion for students and professional geoscientists with disabilities. She is also one of the founders of the Caltech Disability Coalition, which is working to advocate for increased accessibility around her campus.
